Main Responsibilities / Activities

Our Service department is willing to increase the quality of service provided to our clients. For this reason we are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician, whose main responsibilities will be:

Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions (mechanical/electrical) on already installed machines using test instruments and also from non-technical descriptions provided by customers
Perform upgrades and preventive/corrective maintenance plans on customer’s site.
Be an active part of the SAT after an upgrade, modification or maintenance plan.
Ability to travel extensively with little notice prior to travel. Availability to travel at least 70% of the time.
Prepare complete service reports, timesheets and expense reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Ability to support customer technical issues by remote assistance (when not travelling).

Special Projects / Challenges

This new member will collaborate with the existing team to increase Customer’s satisfaction regarding our service.

As Key Competences we look for:

Excellent Mechanical and Electrical skills. The candidate should also feel comfortable doing little software modifications (programming).
Team player: this new member will join a team that will support him/her when he/she is at client site.
Proactive approach to the tasks: when at client’s site, new issues might arose. This new member should be capable to anticipate / foresee those issues and find alternative solutions.
Good communication skills: by listening actively to the client and transferring the information to the people who will need that info.

Basic Requirements

Qualifications and experience:

Mechanical & Electrical experience.
Basic electronic programming knowledge is highly valuable.
+ 5 years of working experience with complex machinery. Experience in the maintenance or assembly of machinery is extremely valued.
Good level of English language (our main clients are spread all over the world!). Knowledge of additional languages will be valuable.

Knowledge of Office tools: MS Word, MS Excel.
