What we are looking for

We are looking for a ‘Head of Pricing’ who defines and executes on our pricing vision across a cross-functional team with a proven track record in establishing pricing as a function. The ‘Head of Pricing’ has designed and executed on market-winning pricing & monetisation strategies across multiple countries & business units in the past in a high-growth, competitive B2C environment at scale.

We believe you should have experience in developing a pricing vision in a highly competitive market context, driving for innovation in scaled marketplaces / platforms and successfully influencing product roadmaps in a highly cross-functional environment.

Your responsibilities

The ‘Head of Pricing’ is accountable for the overall success of pricing on our platform across a cross-functional team of product, analytics, data science and commercial leaders. (S)he is responsible for leading a high-performing team of pricing managers in order to:

Develop & execute the company’s pricing vision & strategy that includes price positioning, price setting, and calibration of surge (dynamic pricing) engines
Be the major stakeholder in the development and steering of the pricing roadmap, ensuring we continue to invest in a world-class pricing engine and user experience. This requires close collaboration especially with Product and Engineering teams
Prioritize the pricing initiatives on the roadmap
Design and deliver best-in-class pricing data analytics
Define, develop, prioritize and monitor the business outcomes of the surge roadmap along with Data Science and in close collaboration with local teams
Create an expertise center for all things related to pricing
Define and roll out best practice commercial and pricing processes & playbooks
Lead the development and overall execution of monetisation strategy for both sides of the marketplace rider (fees & surcharges) and driver (commission)
Lead the execution of competitive pricing intelligence across more markets; constantly improve data collection, processing and decision making using real-time competition insights
Guide and liaise cross functional teams (Product, Data Science, Marketplace Performance, Local Teams) for the successful implementation of the above

Your Profile

7+ years of full-time work experience in fast-paced company, a start-up or a consulting firm within minimum of 5 years pricing experience
Ride Hailing / Micro Mobility / Food delivery or related marketplace / platform business model experience is a huge plus
Experience in commercial pricing / product pricing is a must
People leadership and team building skills: You have led a team for a min. of 2 years and have experience in hiring & developing a high-performing team
Ability to drive decision making: across multiple departments and senior stakeholders
Innovative & ambitious mindset: always focused on doing things better and faster
Data driven decision-making mentality: Sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking and experimentation
Strategic thinker: able to see the big picture and balance long-term vision with short and medium-term goals
Great stakeholder management skills: Strong collaboration, and superb communication skills (both written and oral) and ability to synthesize information quickly
