Group Audit is responsible for performing audits over the whole of Zurich’s operations globally. We are looking for an audit professional to join our audit team in Barcelona and be part of our global internal audit organization. You will contribute to the Group Audit global team in terms of professional skills, technical knowledge, energy and motivation.

You will assist the Auditor in Charge (AiC) in the application of a risk-based audit approach to a portfolio of local and global audit projects. You will assist in the development of audit programs and project plans and have full accountability to complete audit areas assigned to you. You will also have the opportunity to interact with team members across the globe, including Europe, Latin America, North America, and Asia Pacific.
As an Internal Auditor your main task will be:
Build an in-depth understanding of Group Audit standards and methodology.
Assist the Auditor in Charge in planning and delivery of the audit engagement
Participate in local and global audits, complete audit work, document and report audit results in line with Group Audit standards.
Work with supervision on assignments, with sufficient guidance and subsequent review.
Agree on corrective actions with business stakeholders and support on delivery on the delivery of the final audit report with support from the Auditor in Charge.
Track the implementation of agreed actions when assigned to them.
Develop own knowledge and business awareness by reviewing available resources and interacting with multiple stakeholders.
Support the execution of the Data Analysis testing in coordination with Auditor in Charge and Data Science team.
Required Skills and Experience
As an Internal Auditor your skills and qualifications should include:
Bachelors degree (or equivalent).
Relevant professional qualification such as CIA is advantageous.
1 to 3 years of directly related experience in accounting, auditing and/or advisory services within the financial services sector (insurance and pension schemes management is preferred).
Knowledge of internal audit processes, principles of internal controls and risk assessments.
Experience of working in multinational and complex organizations is advantageous.
Knowledge of insurance industry, key markets, participants, innovation drivers, business issues, standards and guidelines, regulatory environment and developments.
Good organization, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good Spanish and English (verbal and written) are required. Additional languages is advantageous.
Ability to work customer-focused, collaborative, flexible, persistent and results-oriented.
Flexibility and endurance to cope with varying workloads, pressures and priorities.
Work location is Spain, Barcelona with occasional travel to other locations, primarily within EMEA.
