The Red Hat Training team is looking for a Training Solutions Architect focused on telco to join our Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) team. In this role, you will help customers understand how Red Hats training and certification offerings will give them a competitive advantage and achieve their business objectives. You’ll need to have a balance of technical expertise, passion for open source, and of deep understanding of business processes and IT problems faced at the enterprise level to identify and create business solutions. As a Training Solutions Architect, youll also need to have excellent communication and people skills because you’ll be a key part of the first impression our customers have with Red Hat. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities:
Discover and analyze customer business and technical problems and connect the appropriate Red Hats training and certification offering that meets their needs
Work with sales and curriculum development teams to define custom and customized training solutions for customers with complex infrastructure deployments and specialized learning objectives
Use your deep knowledge of our offerings to provide technical leadership to the sales team and our customers through sales conversations and presentations and demonstrations of our offerings
Deliver training workshops for key Red Hats customers
Meet revenue and bookings goals while sustaining good relationships with existing and prospective customers
Collaborate with training delivery teams to ensure excellent customer experience with our offerings and solutions
Work in partnership with training and certification development teams to ensure that our offerings match current and future customer needs
Define, document, present, and demonstrate how the Red Hat portfolio of offerings can enable next-generation IT and network architectures for telecommunications providers, both in the network functions virtualization (NFV) and in the operations support system (OSS) and business support system (BSS) spaces
Work with the ecosystem to position Red Hat Training as a key strategic offering for telecommunications and NFV infrastructures, e.g., independent software vendors (ISVs), network equipment providers (NEPs), telecommunications, cloud providers, integrators, and hardware vendors
Excellent conceptual skills that can combine the complexity of today’s telecommunications environment with the power of Red Hats software capabilities to define the potential of next-generation service provider and related ecosystem environments
Extensive industry knowledge and market insights; good understanding of current, new, and future technologies and business directions
Understanding of the existing and new technologies used by the telecommunications industries like 5G, internet of things (IoT), software-defined networking (SDN), NFV, and OSS and BSS
Familiarity with the language used in the telecommunications industry in regard to carrier grade
5+ years of experience working as a sales engineer, instructor, consultant, solutions architect in the telecommunications Industry, or in an equivalent role; experience working in sales is a plus
Deep knowledge of telco architectures, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and related technologies
Deep understanding of one or more emerging technology areas where Red Hat competes like cloud platforms, DevOps, microservices, container management and orchestration, automation, or virtualization
Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills; record of developing relationships at technical, management, and executive levels
One or more Red Hat certification(s) are a big plus
Ability to speak at least two European languages; additional languages are a plus
Familiarity with container and container orchestration technologies like Linux containers and Kubernetes is a plus
Red Hat OpenShift experience is a plus
Willingness to travel regularly across the region, following Red Hats COVID guidelines
